CAUSE HONESTLY I DONT REALLY COUNT MY FAT IN GRAMS THAT MUCH - I PROB SHOULD START - I JUST GO BY #OF OR TABLESOONS PER ETC.

jicima is fine raw - consider a veggie. PLEASE DO NOT drink alchohol is excess on cheat night... it is very caloric, period. It's not a matter of carbs or not, its a matter of calories and vodka for example is VERY high in calories.
Examples of fat intake for 40 grams: 23 almonds (15-16 grams) 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil (15 grams) 1 tablespoon almond butter (8 grams)
Hi jody, Here is my simple recipe for beets: boil 2 or 3 heads of beets in salt water untill semi soft. they take about 1-1.5 hrs to cook on low heat. Let it cool to the touch. Peel and shred, add crushed galic for taste and about a tbsp of olive oil or saff mayo which ever you preffer. Makes about 3-4 containers depending on the size of the beets. You can eat it cold...tastes pretty good.

so for example - what would be the diff between 55 and 40g of fat?

ReplyDeleteJan, Vodka is lower in carbs then wine. Do you eat the jicama raw or cooked?
ReplyDeleteThe difference is huge. fat is very dense in calories. 40g equals 360 calories 55g equals 495 calories.You will see the difference.

Anitra, your fats are too low. Should be 40g. You could add tablespoon of olive oil to your balsamic next time?
